Retirees Club

History: The Retirees Club here in Ottawa was formed in March of 1981. It was sponsored at that time by CWC Local 34-O President Bill Abbott, Vice President Art Griffiths and Secretary/Treasurer Ray Beaudoin.

Our Retirees Club is currently the only Retirees Club of Bell employees, sponsored in part by our Union, that we are aware of in Bell Canada Ontario & Quebec. We are also associated with the Congress of Union Retirees of Canada.

When & Where:

Bell retirees get together once a month at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #593 in Bell's Corners on the second Thursday of every month except June, July and August, for a social afternoon to talk over old times. In addition, we have two special luncheon meetings in December and May where a spouse/friend may be invited. Membership fees are only $5.00 per year.
