General Meeting Information
A general meeting has been called by the Executive for August 4th. It will be held at the Local (23-5470 Canotek Road). Items to be discussed other than the usual updates:
- Election of delegates to the National Convention
- Approval of By-Laws (Errors are present in the by-laws as a result of changes to the CEP Consitution ie. referrals to wrong sections numbers, etc that have to be changed at the request of the National. These changes to not change the effectiveness or appliation of the By-Laws but are for clarification only.
- New Business - If you have items to discuss, please send them to the LOCAL so we can add them to the agenda.
Spring Maggie Harbert Bursary Winners Announced.
At a General Meeting held at the Local on February 23, 2010 the second round winners of the Maggie Harbert Bursaries were drawn. Local 34-O bi-annually draws 10 names for a $500 bursary. Children or spouses of active, retired, or deceased members in good standing who are enrolled in full-time studies in a post secondary institution are elligible. The current draw winners are:
1 - Dilan Fetterley, son of Brian Fetterly
2 - Joseph Lentini, son of Sam Lentini
3 - Taylor Phillips, daughter of Dan Perrier
4 - Jessica Frankland, daughter of John Frankland
5 - Amanda Stinson, daughter of Mike Stinson
6 - Catherine Brohman, wife of Jeff Brohman
7 - Shauna O'Brien, daughter of Tim O'Brien
8 - Andrew Nicol, son of Scott Nicol
9 - Ashleigh Schwehr, daughter of Ed Megill
10 - Shelly Rudyk, daughter of Moe Rudyk
If your child or spouse was chosen, please forward proof of enrollment and contact information to the Local so that your child can receive his/her cheque. Congratulations to all our winners!
